The Salem Summer Outdoor Service is offered on Sunday mornings from Memorial Day Weekend through Labor Day Weekend at 10:15 on the south lawn of our property at 401 S. Lake Street. A huge elm tree offers ample shade to the many who enjoy worshiping in this "outdoor sanctuary." In the event of inclement weather, the service is moved indoors to the main sanctuary.

While a few prefer to "dress up for church," most prefer casual attire for the outdoor service. Many worshipers wear shorts, sandals, or other casual summer wear. Folding chairs are provided, but many also bring their own lawn chairs or blankets for seating.

The service is quite informal. A team of music leaders assist worshipers in singing a variety of music, from contemporary worship songs to "old time favorites."
