A number of groups and studies are available, some on a regular basis throughout the year, and others periodically at different times of the year. Most of the groups listed here are ongoing. Adult Forum meets in the Fellowship Hall on Sunday mornings at 9:35 from early September to late May. After time for coffee and fellowship is enjoyed, various topics for study and discussion are led by the pastors or lay leaders.

Coffee Talk meets every other week on Tuesday mornings at 7:00 a.m. or Thursday mornings at 8:00 a.m. This is a discussion and study group of selected Christian reading material. Coffee Talk participants read a chapter or chapters on their own between meetings, and then discuss the reading together.

The Salem Women of the ELCA meet on the third Thursday of the month at 2:00 in the Fellowship Hall for a business meeting and program. Circle Bible Studies for women meet once a month and use the Bible study from the "Lutheran Women Today" magazine.

The Salem Men's Brotherhood meets on the third Monday of the month at 6:30 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall for dinner and a program. Meetings are held in October and November, and January through April.

A number of small groups targeted toward youth are also available.
